Description:
The Argus 017T and 017G Public Order Helmets are designed for public order, prison guard and cash in transit operations. These helmets are manufactured from thermoplastic and GRP respectively with polycarbonate faceshields. The helmets were developed to meet the first dedicated standard for riot helmets PAS017and are CE marked accordingly. In addition, they have internal fittings for the integration of radio systems.

Argus public order helmets and communications systems are used throughout the UK and internationally by major police, prison and security forces, providing proven protection, combined with optimum comfort

  • Choice of high impact resistant ABS thermoplastic self-coloured shell (Argus 017T) or glass reinforced plastic (GRP) shell with high gloss finish (Argus 017G) 
  • Energy absorbing expanded polystyrene liner improves impact protectio
  • High comfort, flame retardant interior with removable cheek pads for easy cleaning, improved hygiene and longer service life
  • Headbands, crown pads and sizing pads for easy fit to individual head shapes and sizes
  • High-impact polycarbonate visor with option of anti-mist and anti-scratch coating for improved resistance to fogging and surface abrasion
  • Replaceable heavy duty neck curtain – padded for extra comfort and optimum protection
  • Four metal gauze audio inserts – resistant to liquid penetration
  • Option to install dedicated Argus Signum communications type approved to PAS 017 for one or two way radio contact with any standard police radio
  • Adjustable chinstrap with quick release buckle
  • Colour options in blue, black and white or other colours to special order
